How it works

As our help is tailored towards individual situations and preferences, it is generally considered helpful to be able to talk through potential options and their associated costs. We are happy to do this with no obligation from your part and at no cost.

However, we have briefly described our 7-step pathway below to make sure that you get the best possible service from us and our experienced team and Personal Assistants.

No Obligation Chat

We are very happy to talk through the different types of support you may require but if you are not ready for this you may like to choose one or all of the options below:

Request a brochure:

A brochure will be posted first class to help you and/or your loved one understand what is possible. Our service is as much about maintaining independence and control and maximising quality of life as it is about personal or specialist care. It will give you more than enough information to decide if you would like to meet to discuss how we can help further.

Request a quote:

Costs are always important and as care is tailored towards individual circumstances, we can provide a good idea of likely costs and how they can be minimised with only a little information from yourselves. Our packages are priced to give the maximum amount of flexibility in the support you want and require.

Request a call-back:

Request a call-back at a day and time that is most convenient for you. We are more than happy to come and meet you and/or your loved ones at a time that is convenient to you.

We will provide you with all of the necessary information which you can then forward on to other family members, making sure that everybody is on the “same page” and giving all concerned the opportunity to ask us any follow-up questions. There is no rush on our part and we will support you every step of the way.

Registration

You will need to complete our registration form to make sure you have understood the process and obligations, once you have agreed either verbally or in writing that you are happy to proceed. You will also receive our Business terms and Privacy Policy details.

We will then arrange a meeting with you and/or your family with one of our Account Care Managers to understand any specific health and care needs, we like to find out about your likes, dislikes, daily and weekly routines, hobbies and outlook in life.

We will also discuss the Personal Assistant’s requirements, the likely duration of care – whether it is short term/respite and if it is ongoing how long you would like each Personal Assistant to stay at any one time. At this point we will begin to have a good idea on the costs which we will openly discuss with you.

As most of our customers come to us looking for continuity of care and minimising the number of changes in Personal Assistant, this part of the process is vitally important.

Creation Of Care Package

We will create an assignment description specific to your situation which includes an idea of the characteristics of your ideal Personal Assistant. We use this to help us match your requirement against the large number of Personal Assistants registered with us, throughout the country. This is a “live” document and will be kept updated to reflect any changes in requirements.

We send you our detailed advice notes to help you prepare for engaging a Personal Assistant. These notes will help to make the process of engaging a self-employed Personal Assistant to go as smoothly as possible.

Together we make a difference
Matching you with your Personal Assistants

We will create a shortlist of Personal Assistants based on their profile, experience, where they live and their availability.

All our registered Personal Assistants will have undergone a thorough interview, their paperwork (DBS, training certificates etc) will have been checked and, to become a Personal Assistant with us they will have impeccable written and verbal references from previous clients and/or work history.

We send you all relevant information

Whilst we aim to provide a quick turnaround, we pride ourselves on achieving the best match of individual and this can a little time. But, not always, we will use our large register of UK wide care staff to source the perfect match. We will send you a passport of detailed information about your potential Personal Assistant.

We will explain and discuss with you why we think that the Personal Assistant has the right profile and personality for you. We arrange a meeting so you both can get to know each other.

You make the final decision

When you feel you have met the Personal Assistant who you would like to support your needs all you do is let us know, we then arrange everything for you with regard to agreements, payroll services and confirmation of dates and times for when the support begins.

When the Personal Assistants are part of a rota or job-share, it also considered best practice for incoming and outgoing Personal Assistants to exchange details prior to any change-over in care. Again, we help to facilitate this where necessary.

Care commences

No costs are incurred (other than the agreed fees on support systems) until you confirm the name and start date of the Personal Assistant. Once you have confirmed details, the Personal Assistant and ourselves are committed to making this assignment work.

It is all up to you but we will give you the opportunity to a trial process (for both customer and Personal Assistant) and while we are confident that we have done all that we can do to make the assignment a success, we will be on hand to assist with any teething issues.

Whilst we will not be involved with the delivery of care and those care plan decisions between customer and Personal Assistant, we will listen, assist and support you in any decisions you want to take regarding future care – we support you throughout the process while allowing you to be in control of the whole situation.
